TECDEN currently has members in fourteen Regional Chapters in located in fourteen Government Administrative Regions in mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar as follows: Arusha, Dar es Salaam, Kagera, Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Morogoro, Mwanza, Pwani, Ruvuma, Tanga, Mjini Magharibi, Unguja Kaskazini, Pemba Kaskazini and Pemba Kusini as highlited in blue colour of the map; It has intention of reaching all 30 regions of Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar

Our Main operational areas

  • To engage in Policy dialogue at all levels to influence ECD best practices, policies, programmes, legislations etc re- ECD issues at all levels.

  • To facilitate the coordination, documentation of experiences and best practices, and promotion of TECDEN’s activities as performed by members locally and globally

  • To facilitate a two way communication, networking and information sharing among and beyond members locally and globally.

  • To facilitate the enhancement of capacity of network members to be proactive and take a leading role in implementation, monitoring and evaluation of ECD activities/issues at different levels.

  • To facilitate TECDEN Regional chapters’ engagement in ECD research and dissemination of best practices, policies and frameworks regarding ECD in Tanzania.
